What adventures we shall have this summer! Dr. Seus and teaching on Zoom

Welcome to K200/K506 Computer Technology in Public Health

During this second 8-week summer 2024 session - June 3-July 26, 2024 - you will be challenged to learn and use the computing environment at Indiana University. Everything you need to know about this class will be found here on this Web site and through Canvas.

This class will be completely online. Instruction, learning materials, and class meetings will be conducted through the Internet using Canvas, this website, and occasionally Zoom. You must budget time to get your course work done for this class.

NOTE: Best computer for this class is a Windows PC, either desktop or laptop. Mac users can succeed and the get the highest grades in this class IF they budget extra time for completing projects. Chromebook users must always use IUanyWare and again, this may cause more time to do the work.

You may contact Ms. Margaret Lion by email at mlion@indiana.edu or by phone at 812-856-0006.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions:

Are there specific class meeting times?

No, K200 will be asynchronous. I will survey students in the first week to pick out some good times for synchronous meetings. Synchronous meetings will be optional. They can be used by those who wish to have in real time interaction with me and their classmates.

May I work ahead in class?

Absolutely! You are more than welcome to work ahead.

Where will I find my class materials?

All materials - textbooks, materials, videos - will be online and can be accessed through this class website or Canvas.

How will I contact my instructor?

Email me using your official IU email - mlion@iu.edu. I'm already getting questions and that is good.

Ms. Lion's at home desk where all teaching happens.
